Maybe, but McJesus's team is 1-2.

We'll try to help you out against the 3-0 Leafs but I'm not feeling optimistic about that either.

Devils are kind of team that can be problematic for Leafs. Leafs have good firepower and lots of speed up front. Speed teams win on their speed. But they can struggle against other speed teams. Not sure, but I think Devils might have more speed than Leafs.

Can never give the Leafs full credit, eh Spatso? How are those Leafs predictions coming? Still think they're in for a sophomore slump?

The Devils might have some speed, but they have nowhere close to the depth and the speed throughout the line up. Go ahead and shadow Matthews' line, there's two other scoring lines behind him and a 4th capable of producing as well...

19 goals in three games with 13 different scorers.

Not saying this will be a walk for the Leafs by any means, but like their chances.

Let's also remember that NJ has faced COL an BUF... Arguably two bottom five teams this season and have been for a while now.

Good game, from what I saw, Ceci played well, Dion played well and Chabot played really well especially in the defensive zone, behind he play he was covering everything.

again I was really impressed with Ryan, his skating has gotten much better

Hey, it's definitely exciting times for Leaf Nation, but I'd temper expectations a little bit pal. We are 4% into this season, and a lot can happen between now and April. There's lots of reason for excitement, and having watched them a few times this year, they're a lot of fun to watch- but this isn't the first time you've started the year hot. In fact, it seems to happen every year.

I think that this year is different- for a lot of reasons - but can't you Leafs fans just calm down a little bit? It's almost Groundhog Day every year- you get super pumped about your team really early in the season and start planning parades, and then some inevitable event throws a left turn into your plans.

Also - the teams people have already written off are actually looking good this year. NJ is the only team to have beaten Colorado this year, who knocked off good teams in NY and BOS.

The leafs haven't started a year hot in a long time.

They had like one win in the first 5 games last season

I can't argue with this. Buffalo in particular played a bad game. I'm pretty happy with the forward depth in NJ but the comparable skill level isn't close to Toronto. On thing for sure. Only one team is leaving undefeated!

Nah, I'll keep my optimism and expectations high, and won't be told to do otherwise, especially by a Sens fan.

Sure, the Leafs have had great starts in previous years, but certainly not last year and were 1-7-2 in their first 10 the year before. The difference is that this team is NOWHERE CLOSE to those other teams front top to bottom... They're A LOT better.

I was merely stating that I like our chances tonight vs NJ and laughing at Spatso who refuses to give Toronto can form of sincerely legitimate credit and who couldn't have been more wrong about a number of his pessimistic "predictions" about the Leafs. You should ask him about them... I doubt he'll share them.

why would they calm down......they're the 5 time defending October Stanley Cup champs, and they're 3-0.

It just can't help himself.

The saddest part about Spatso is that the Leafs' failure is more important than the Sens' success.

If you're looking for Sens fans, you've come to the wrong place.

Unfortunately, I couldn't actually tell you where to look.

Coga, where have you been? I haven't gotten a rant in a few days.

I was waiting to hear what you thought about the Peter Forsberg comments about benching Duchene and trading him asap?

I agree the Avs have been playing but better but I wouldn't say they are "Back".

I've actually been a bit disappointed with Duchene he could play better.
Yak has been awesome (I suggested Ottawa sign him last year and the year before) Nate M has been great.
and they have been getting great goal tending

Duchenes been good, doing his business. 3pts in 3 games is nothing to sneeze at esp with a 54% FOW being on the road for all those games.

Yak is found money right now, the kid is fun to watch.

The comments are nothing, its been over blown a bit both Forsberg and Duchene have talked after it and apparently its nothing to note. Dutch was smart not to comment on them bc translated articles from Europe are never cut and dry.

These boards are getting worse and worse. Yet, I keep coming back…

I’ve been impressed with Stone, Brass, and Ryan through 3 games. The rest of our “top” forwards, not so much.

Wondering how much stock we can put into the Andreas Athanasiou rumours. Seems like he might be a guy worth taking a chance on for the right price, but seems like Chabot is that price, as per usual.

I’m not really a fan of bringing up Chabot and Jarros for split duties. Once Karlsson and Johnny are back, they just get sent back again? Quit messing around with young players and let them develop one way or another.

Dude Jersey is playing some good hockey and are better than people give them credit for AND you have the better goalie. I wouldn't assume the Leafs beat you.

Second guy on the thread to make a comment like that.

Jesus, I was hoping this is where the not-high-as-(frank) Sens fans hung out.. after dealing with D'oops and Spazzo all morning.
